The Baltimore police union voted overwhelmingly Thursday to reject a contract proposal from the city.

Under the proposal, officers would have received a 3% salary increase for part of this year and another 2% increase for next year.

Officers also would have received a one-time $500 bonus for not getting a salary increase in 2016.

The contract  would not have added civilians to disciplinary  boards.

After the vote, the Fraternal Order of Police tweeted that nearly 100% of the officers voted against the deal.
