Police capture new Public Enemy #1
Capone Chase is now Baltimore City's Public Enemy No .1.
BALTIMORE (WMAR) - The latest man named Public Enemy #1 by Baltimore City Police was captured on Thursday.
Capone Chase was taken into custody in the 1500 block of Pennsylvania Avenue.
Chase, 19, is accused of killing Ramon Rodriguez on a playground at 4600 Gough Street on July 13. Police say he is a known member of the Black Guerilla Family Gang.
According to charging documents, Chase and an unknown man lured Rodriguez to the Greektown playground. Police say the men made Rodriguez kneel down and take everything out of his pockets.
Documents also reveal that Chase pointed a gun at Rodriguez and fired several shots. After the victim was shot to death, police say Chase robbed him of everything he took from his pockets.
Rodriguez was later found on the playground lying on his back and bleeding from his face.
