Baltimore food trucks head to court Friday over a lawsuit challenging the city's 300-ft. proximity ban.
The court will decide whether to dismiss the lawsuit filed by the Institute for Justice and two food truck owners, Joey Vanoni of Pizza di Joey and Nikki McGowan of Madame BBQ.
Mobile vendors aren't allowed to operate within 300 feet of any brick-and-mortar business that sells the same type of food. Violators pay $500 in fines for each violation and can have their vendor's license revoked.

Vendors contend that the law unfairly limits business operations across the city.
The hearing is scheduled to take place at 11:30 a.m. at the Circuit Court for Baltimore City.
