He grew up in Latrobe Homes. His next door neighbor was Supermax. It was either the call to the corner, or the wave to the dance floor.

This is the story of how Willis Brandon used his two feet to become "2 Good 2 Be True."

The summer before 3rd grade, a man spotted him on the side of an East Baltimore pool. What caught his attention was the way he was fluttering his feet in the water. Willis was about to become a dancer.

From after school dance programs, to the Morton Street Dance Studio and then the Baltimore School for the Arts.  After that, he thought college was out. He can’t afford tuition.

Then he was coaxed into auditioning with the world famous Alvin Ailey Dance School. He made the cut. He got a scholarship.

Only one catch: who can afford to live in New York?

So Friday night, there’s a fundraiser and there’s a GoFundMe page set up so that the young man who danced along Orleans can dance along Broadway.
