Baltimore courthouse evacuated due to water leak

BALTIMORE (AP) -- A courthouse has been evacuated in downtown Baltimore due to a water main break that caused flooding.

Courthouse East on Calvert Street was evacuated Monday morning, and firefighters were called to the scene. Crews are trying to determine whether water got into the building's electrical lines. Water to the building was shut off.

Authorities say fire crews found a half-inch main had broken on the fourth floor of the building, and water leaked down to the lower floors, affecting some courtrooms.

It wasn't immediately clear when the building would reopen.
