Baltimore City corrections officers plan to walk out on the job Wednesday.

According to an AFSCME union representative, the move is a response to five consecutive pay periods in which workers were not paid or were underpaid.

The union alleges negligence on the part of the Department of Public Safety and Correctional Services.

The workers will walk out of central booking, located at 300 E. Madison St. in Baltimore.
