Baltimore Community Foundation awards more than $122,000 in grants

BALTIMORE - The Baltimore Community Foundation has awarded $122,942 in grants from its Neighborhood Grants Program to 33 community projects in neighborhoods across Baltimore City and Baltimore County.

"Social engagement is key to neighborhood development, and we are seeing some real changes happening from the bottom up," BCF president Tom Wilcox said in a news release. "These grants might seem small but they can have a big impact on the entire community."

BCF works to help neighborhoods become safe and vibrant, and to be supporters and champions of their local schools.

2014 Neighborhood Grants Program recipients include:
