Baltimore mayor Stephanie Rawlings-Blake said Monday as conditions continue to deteriorate, response and public safety will remain the primary focus of her office.
She warned those out and about on Baltimore City roads that as conditions get worse, a mandatory restriction on city roads would be considered.
"We will not hesitate to make that announcement," she said.
As of 2:40 p.m., the following Baltimore City roads had been closed:
- Clipper Mill at Meadow Mills Business Park
- 1900 block Falls Road (near Streetcar Museum)
- Monument Street at Pulaski Highway
- Aliceanna at Caroline Street
- North Point at Kane West
About an hour later, they mayor said travel would be restricted on all city roadways beginning at 6 p.m. and ending at noon Tuesday.
The mayor said more than 2 thousand police officers will be working overnight in Baltimore City.
"We are ready and able to respond to any incident," she said.
