Baltimore Boy Scouts and DHL Express are planning to honor the men and women who fight for our freedom through Operation Patriot Popcorn.
Boy Scouts will be sending 45,000 popcorn packets to troops in Afghanistan just in time for July 4.
“They don’t know the men and women who are in uniform serving our country in faraway lands. So, this is their way to say thank you and what it means to them and the duty that they are doing for us. Simply to enjoy some popcorn on the fourth of July is an immense," said camp director Mike Taylor.
Troops will receive packets of movie theater extra butter popcorn to enjoy while celebrating the holiday.
DHL Express will be donating its international express delivery network for the special delivery.
