Authorities search for missing baby

BALTIMORE -  

UPDATE:  Police say Zanyla has been found safe and unharmed. 

Baltimore city officials are asking for your help finding a missing 6-month old girl.

A release from the Department of Social Services says  baby  Zanyla Witherspoon went missing around 7 p.m. Friday. She was last seen with her mother Lynette Witherspoon, 23, of Baltimore City. Witherspoon is black, approximately 5'7" tall with a large tattoo on her right upper arm and a large bruise below it. She goes by the nickname "Nett." 

Police said Witherspoon took the baby from her legal guardian Friday. 

According to authorities, the infant is asthmatic and has special needs. 

If anyone has any contact with Witherspoon or the child, please call 911 immediately.
