More than a million people come to our area each year to visit the National Aquarium in Baltimore, and it's boosting our local economy.
The aquarium generates $314 million in annual economic impact for the city and state, according to a new study conducted by Sage Policy Group.
They found that 88% of those who visit Baltimore come to the city primarily for the aquarium.
And the landmark is getting ready to complete a $12.5 million renovation.
It's the first in a series of major investments going into the Baltimore facility.
