Actor trying to raise money to save historic Edgar Allan Poe House

BALTIMORE - The fate of Baltimore's Historic Edgar Allan Poe House is a mystery, but the poet and actor Mark Sanders is trying to help.

He's doing a one-man show called "A Portrait of Poe", starting tonight with hopes of raising funds to keep the house open to the public.

Subsidies used to keep the Poe House open will soon end.

So Sanders hopes this show will preserve the home.

The one-man play, "A Portrait to Poe", will take place at Area 405, on East Oliver Street.

It starts Friday night October 7th at 8 p.m., and there will be shows through the 21st.
