Accused cannibal indicted in MSU assault

BALTIMORE (WMAR) - The Baltimore City Grand Jury has indicted Alexander Kinyua today, charging him with 5 counts including attempted first degree murder for allegedly attacking a man on May 19 at Morgan State University.

In addition to the attempted first degree murder, Kinyua, 21, is also charged with attempted second degree murder, first and second degree assault and use of a deadly weapon with the intent to injure.

Kinyua is also a suspect in a Harford County cannibalism case. According to charging documents, Kinyua first became a suspect in the murder of his roommate, Kujoe Bonsafo Agyei-Kodie, when his brother found what he thought were human remains in the casement of their home.

Agyei-Kodie was reported missing days before police found parts of his body in the home and in a nearby dumpster. Kinyua confessed to police that he had eaten his roommates heart and brain.
