Officer William Porter was the first of six officers charged in the death of Freddie Gray to go to trial.
Porter was charged with involuntary manslaughter and second-degree assault stemming from Freddie Gray's death following his April 12 arrest. Gray's death sparked protests and riots in Baltimore in April.

On Wednesday Judge Barry Williams declared a hung jury on all charges. The trial officially ended in a mistrial.
