BALTIMORE, Md. - A Monday morning fire in West Baltimore left five people with out a place to stay.
Around 3:30 a.m. fire crews were called to the 4300 block of Ethland Avenue to battle a blaze inside the home.
The fire went to two alarms and crews controlled the flames within 20 minutes, but not before the fire and smoke caused significant damage to the house.
Crews remained on the scene as of 6:30 a.m. dealing with potential hot spots.
Five people were inside the house when the fire broke out, but all of them escaped without injury. They are being assisted by the American Red Cross and city services in the wake of the fire.
