BALTIMORE (WMAR) - Eight people, including 4 children, were rushed to the hospital after coming in contact with elevated levels of CO.
According to the Baltimore City Fire Department, several people living in the home in the 4600 block of Kernwood Avenue called to complain about a headache.
When crews responded to the scene, they determined that there were elevated levels of CO in the home.
All eight of the people were evaluated at the scene and transported to University of Maryland hospital for further evaluation.
"It is unknown how long the patients were exposed to this silent killer," said Chief Kevin Cartwight.
Fire crews ventilated the house, but are not sure which appliance the high CO levels were coming from.
