1 dead, several hurt in W. Baltimore crash

BALTIMORE - One person is dead and several are hurt after a multiple car crash in west Baltimore.

Police said the four car crash happened just after 11:30 Sunday morning  when a car hit another vehicle in the intersection of N. Fulton Ave and Presstman Street.  

"Oh my God. The car was smashed. The driver's side was smashed all the way to the passenger's side," said Karen Hall, who lives on the street where it happened.

A man in the car that was struck was pronounced dead at the scene. Also in his car was an adult female and young child. According to police, the female is listed in critical condition and the toddler remains in serious condition.

"Oh my God. I just took off running. And see if I can help. That's all. To see if I could help someone. It was a tragedy," said Hall.

Police say six people were taken to the hospital, four of them with non-life threatening injuries. 

Police are investigating and have not yet determined what caused the crash.
