Women from all over Maryland gathered in Annapolis Monday night to rally in support of pro-female legislation.

Bills supporting reproductive justice, earned sick/safe leave, economic security and opposition to violence against women have all been introduced in Maryland, and politicians want their citizens to know about it.

Rally sponsors included NARAL Pro-Choice Maryland, Planned Parenthood of Maryland, FreeState Justice, Force, Women's Law Center of Maryland, Maryland National Organization for Women, Maryland Coalition Against Sexual Assault (MCASA), Maryland Legislative Agenda for Women (MLAW), Baltimore City State's Attorney Office and MomsRising.

"We are standing with women, with working families in response to the anti-women campaign that we saw at the national level with President Trump," said Delegate Maricé Morales (D19). "We're here to say that as an elected body, we're standing with women."

House versions of the proposed bills are set for hearings Tuesday afternoon.
