ANNAPOLIS, Md. (WMAR) -
A Millersville woman will spend the six months in prison for a manslaughter conviction after officials say she was driving on a learner's permit when she hit and killed another driver.
Elizabeth Ramirez, 20, was also sentenced to spend an additional six months under house arrest following her release from prison.
According to court documents, at the time of the July 31, 201, crash, Ramirez was the driver of a Jeep Cherokee that had turned into oncoming traffic on Route 3 near Davidsonville Road. Javaid Firdaus, 62, the driver of the other car, died as a result of his injuries.
