ARNOLD, Md. (WMAR) -
Anne Arundel County Fire crews are working to determine what sparked a 2-alarm fire in an Arnold home.
At about 12:30 a.m., firefighters were dispatched to the 400 block of Beach Drive for reports of the fire. The first arriving units reported fire evident from a two-story single family waterfront home.
The 2-alarm fire took about 61 firefighters about 3 hours to bring the flames under control.
No one was home at the time of the fire, but significant damage was caused.
One firefighter was injured battling the fire, and transported to a local hospital for treatment of minor burns.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
