Two AA bicyclists taken to Shock Trauma

Two adult bicyclists were transported to Baltimore Shock Trauma after being struck by a driver.

At about 2:00 p.m., Robin Vera Colbert, 54, of Annapolis, Md. was driving her 2011 Nissan Altima, when she began to veer onto the right shoulder.  After driving on the shoulder for an undisclosed period of time, she struck two bicyclists.

Todd Eliot Green, 27, of Severna Park, Md. and Katie Christine Pohler, 23, of Glen Burnie, Md., were both using the designated bike lane properly when hit.  They were transported by Medevac to University of Maryland Shock Trauma where Green is dealing with serious injuries and Pohler is in critical condition.

Colbert, the driver, was uninjured.  Further investigation lead officials to believe alcohol contributed to this accident.

Charges are pending at this time.
