BALTIMORE - Two women were cited by the Maryland Transportation Police Thursday after TSA officials discovered stun guns in the women's carry-on bags at BWI Airport.
A woman from Silver Spring was caught by officials Thursday morning with a bright purple stun gun as she entered the checkpoint on her way to catch a flight to Charlotte, NC.
A Baltimore woman was caught with a hot pink stun gun Thursday evening as she passed through the checkpoint to catch a plane heading to Fort Lauderdale, FL.
TSA officers were able to see the stun guns in the women's bags through the checkpoint X-ray machines.
MDTA police responded, confiscated the stun guns, and cited both women on a state weapons charge.
Both women were permitted to catch their flights after they were disarmed and cited.
Police say the incidents were unrelated.
