A tornado hit Queen Anne's County Sunday. The Ellendale community in Stevensville was hit particularly hard.

The storm plowed right through, taking a bed from one home and flinging it to house next door like it was a sleeping bad, not a king size bed.

"Loud noise, seemed like the house was moving" said Jon Dorsh. "Got outside the room downstairs, looked out the kitchen door and the window blew out. Waited until everything stopped as we could come over here and help to see if anybody was hurt."

Miraculously, it seems people in the neighborhood escaped serious injury. The same can't be said for the homes.

Mike Kalvatisis just bought his home in November. When he parked his car in the driveway Sunday, he never imagined what would happen.

"I was parked on the other side of the driveway," he said. "So 12 feet over this way."

"What's that say about that kind of power?"

"I can't even imagine," he said. "I didn't look outside when it was going on and you know, I probably wouldn't want to."

The electricity is will come on eventually, and as one home owner said, "they built these houses once, they can build them again."
