SPCA Anne Arundel County reaches capacity of dogs

Shelter offering specials for weekend adoption

The SCPA of Anne Arundel County reached its limit on dogs.

The shelter this week reached its capacity of 65 dogs and is no longer able to rescue other dogs from surrounding animal control facilities, according to a release from the SPCA of Anne Arundel County.

The shelter is hoping a “Lonely Hearts Weekend Adoption Special” will entice families who have been considering adopting a dog to visit the shelter this weekend.

Fees will be lowered by 50 percent for dogs 2 years and older.

From the release:

These dogs have been waiting for a home to call their own and some much longer.  John Wall, a four year old Beagle mix has been in a shelter environment since December 2013 and he's as sweet as they come.  Dogs like John Wall have won our hearts. Please give them a chance to win yours.  All dogs adopted will go home up to date on their vaccines, heartworm disease tested, spayed/neutered, and microchipped.

Help the SPCA continue to save lives. If you are interested in adopting John Wall, or another dog, please call our shelter at 410-268-4388, or visit www.aacspca.org
