ANNAPOLIS, Md. (WMAR) - Anne Arundel County Police are trying to figure out what caused a man to get hit while walking on Route 50 Sunday night.
Fire officials say they responded to the on ramp of Route 50 Eastbound at Rowe Boulevard at about 8:30 p.m. for reports of a crash involving a pedestrian.
Once on the scene, emergency personnel found the man in his early 30's suffering from life-threatening injuries.
Police say the Glen Burnie man was taken to Anne Arundel Medical Center in Annapolis where he was being kept alive for medical purposes.
The man has since passed away.
Police are uncertain what the man was doing walking on the on ramp, since they did not find any disabled vehicles in the area.
The case is still being investigated.
