Pedestrian hit, killed in Glen Burnie accident

GLEN BURNIE, Md. - One man is dead after being hit by a car in Anne Arundel County Friday morning.

The accident took place shortly after 5 a.m. on Ritchie Highway in Glen Burnie.

Ritchie Highway was closed to southbound traffic between Norfolk Road and Marley Station Road in the wake of the crash as police investigated. The roadway was reopened to traffic shortly before 7:30 a.m.

The driver of the car remained at the scene, sources tell ABC2 News.

The victim has not yet been identified.
