Officials host community 'fun day' after playground burns

LAUREL, Md. (WMAR) -  

The city of Laurel is still trying to solve several fires set in the cities area playgrounds. Including this one set in Discovery Community Park set on March 3rd.
 
The area where the playground had been destroyed has been cleared and new equipment has been ordered.
 
Today was a day for the kids complete with mascots dancing hotdogs and an attitude that says no one is going to spoil our fun.

Police arrested two juveniles in connection with a March 8th playground fire.  They are offering a $5,000 reward for information on the March 3rd fire at Discovery Park and another on March 11th at  Emancipation Community Park.
