MILLERSVILLE, Md. (WMAR) -
Police in Anne Arundel County have decided not to press charges against the officer that was accused of placing video cameras in a high school bathroom.
Police say a thorough investigation has been completed and based upon the evidence, no criminal laws have been violated, thus the officer that was involved will not be criminally charged.
The device that was found was determined to not have recorded, stored or transmitted any images or sound.
The investigation began when a teenager at Glen Burnie High School found the camera inside the men's restroom inside the school on March 20 after he reportedly felt uncomfortable using the restroom.
The officer believed to have placed the camera in the restroom is a 14-year veteran of the force and the administrative investigation is still ongoing.
