Nearly $3 million Violence Against Women Grant Program seeks applications

Nearly $3 million in funding from the STOP Violence Against Women Grant Program is available to interested parties looking to serve victims of sexual assault, domestic violence, dating violence and stalking, the Governor's Office of Crime Control and Prevention said Tuesday.

The grants are open to the public and non-profit organizations. The deadline to apply is Friday, Aug. 24.

STOP stands for Services, Training, Officers, Prosecutors. Funding from the program can be used for services like crisis intervention, therapy, prosecution of domestic violence and sexual assault cases, staff training, advocacy and accompaniment, temporary shelter, and sexual assault forensic examination.
