It was an away game for the Arundel High Varsity Girls Soccer team, but Old Mill players, coaches and families made it feel like home.
Before Tuesday's game between the 2 teams, a moment of silence was held for Tina Frost, the 2008 Arundel High grad who was critically wounded in the Las Vegas shooting.
"The family has been involved with Arundel soccer in one way or another since the 90's. I just think it shows a lot of respect for the family and a lot of support," said James Joyner, whose daughter currently plays on the team.
The gravity of the moment resonated across both sides of the field.
"The moment of silence really touched me a lot. It was just respectful," said Old Mill Middle School student Shefe Oyemade.
Arundel players also wore Tina's name and number 9 on their wrists.
10 years ago, Frost would have been a Senior playing on the team.
"I can't even comprehend it. To go through what a parent must go through when your child has suffered such a horrific injury. My thoughts are with them. I can't fathom how they even exist," said Joyner.
A moment of silence was also held for frost before the Boys Varsity game earlier in the day.
