When Brad Stemcosky and Charlie Frend went on a little fishing trip on their 16-foot Glastron on the Potomac River a couple of weeks ago, they knew being on the water could be dangerous.

But they didn’t think anything bad could happen to them.

When they started on their fishing trip, it was calm. The conditions changed quickly, and all of a sudden, the two realized their boat was taking on water.

Then it capsized.

The two survivors of the Dec. 20 incident reunited with their rescuers from the Coast Guard, Maryland State Police, Maryland Natural Resources Police and Saint Mary's County first responders.
