Chris Lucas grew up in Lansdowne, played football in Arbutus, moved to Pasadena and graduated from Archbishop Spalding. Then he moved to Nashville to write country music.

He teamed up with Preston Brust to start LOCASH.

After a decade of writing songs for others like Keith Urban and Tim McGraw, they decided to sing for themselves. They have two No. 1 hits and a third climbing the charts.

This Saturday, Chris will attend his first ever Preakness as a country star!

For those who use to hang around in Pasadena, you'll remember Chris's late father Jack. He was a great man, always knew his son would make the big time.  And he did.
