ANNAPOLIS, Md. -
County Executive John Leopld's legal bills keep adding up.
His lawyers have billed Anne Arundel County a little more than $56,000 as of last month.
Leopold was sued in 2012 by his former press aide, Karla Hamner, who claims she lost her job for complaining about Leopold's conduct toward her.
In August, after three county police officers gave depositions stating they knew about Leopold's orders to fire Hammer, he hired his current law team.
Leopold is set to stand trial later this month in a separate manner. He is accused of misusing his security detail.
