PASADENA, Md. - He claimed someone on the shore shot him and he floated, injured, all night in a kayak.
Now police are saying David Seafolk-Kopp shot himself. He was found in April, and told police he saw a red dot, then felt excruciating pain . Police combed the shores along bodkin creek in Pasadena searching for clues.
It wasn't until they discovered Kopp had gun powder on his hands that they turned the investigation on him. Police issued a search warrant at his home in Virginia, and say he shot himself in the face before they arrived.
Right now he is in the hospital in critical condition. Police are not able to talk to him at this time.
