SHADY SIDE, Md. (WMAR) -- Fire officials in Anne Arundel County are trying to figure out what caused a two-alarm fire in a Shady Side home.
Crews were dispatched at about 5:15 p.m. Monday for reports of the dwelling fire in the 4800 block of Woods Wharf Road. The first arriving units found a home about 25% involved in fire and requested a second alarm.
Two residents and one dog were displaced by the fire that caused an estimated $100,000 in damages. There were no reports of injuries.
Investigators have determined that there were no working smoke alarms in the home, but are still trying to figure out what caused the fire.
