Fire displaces family of four

ARNOLD, Md. (WMAR) -  

An Arnold family has been displaced after an overnight fire broke out in their home. 
At about 2:30 a.m., calls were received for reports of the fire in the 900 block of Phillips Road. 
Once on the scene, crews found smoke coming from the occupied dwelling. It took about 30 firefighters 30 minutes to bring the fire under control. 
The cause of the fire is under investigation, but it's believed to have been electrical in nature. 
The fire caused about $25,000 in damage to the home. Smoke detectors were found, but were inoperable. 
The family of four adults is being assisted by the American Red Cross.
