ANNAPOLIS - A person walking a dog found the body of a woman Friday afternoon in Anne Arundel County, police said.
Officials said the woman’s body was found in a ravine behind a sediment pond in Bestgate Recreation Park in Annapolis.
The medical examiner's office determined the woman died of hypothermia. Temperatures dipped into the teens Friday and struggled to get past 30 degrees throughout the day.
Police identified the woman as Diane Donati, 48, of no known address. When she was found she was fully clothed and dressed appropriately for the weather, including having a blanket wrapped around her. Police said due to the condition and location of the blanket, it appeared Donati draped it around her shoulders to keep warm.
There are no signs of foul play.
Toxicology tests are pending.
