LINTHICUM, Md. - Chico couldn't wait to get off his grueling transatlantic flight from Germany to Baltimore.
That's why the big black dog with white paws escaped from his cage around 12:30 Monday afternoon and ran around the tarmac at the Delta terminal at BWI for about half an hour before he was captured.
BWI operations personnel and a federal wildlife biologist assigned to the airport managed to capture the obedient pooch with little fanfare.
According to BWI spokesman Jonathan Dean, the biologist simply drove up to the dog, gave him a little whistle and he jumped right into an open car door. Good dog.
Dean said Chico will be returned to his owner later today.
