On a sparkling Saturday on Spa Creek, they shove away from the port of pain and fear. Thumping, lumpy wakes with their paddles to awaken their souls. This is the Annapolis Dragon Boat Club.
Twenty-two breast cancer survivors will be in the same boat, aiming to break a Guinness World Records as having the most breast cancer survivors in the same Dragon Boat with the fastest half marathon ever seen.
On Saturday, Aug. 26, come down the Annapolis City Dock to cheer on these strong and brave women. It will start at 8 a.m. The judge for the event is Hall of Famer Brooks Robinson.
