BROOKLYN PARK, Md. - Maryland State Police are investigating the death of a man whose body was found in shallow water at Patapsco Valley State Park Wednesday afternoon.
According to police, at about 1:30 p.m. State Police along with Anne Arundel County Police and Natural Resources Police were called to the area of Bell Grove Road and Thomas Avenue in Brooklyn Park for reports of a body.
After troopers found a man's body in about two feet of water, they called the MSP forensic crime technicians and investigators from the State Police homicide unit.
The body will be transported to the Chief Medical Examiner's Office in Baltimore for an autopsy to determine the cause and manner of death.
The man's identity has not yet been made.
Detectives with State Police continue to investigate.
