You know hot summer days aren't far away when you see the Blue Angels in the Annapolis sky.

The F/A-18 hornets are seen by more than 10 million people every year and the Naval Academy is one of their favorite stops.

"It's definitely a great tradition," said Amy Rappaport from Annapolis. "Not many people get to see them like we do in Annapolis."

Wednesday's show was Nick Farbaugh's first, but his dad, Josh, has been to the show before.

"I can tell ya, it's been three of four years since I've been watching them and I've lived here for 10 years," he said. "I wish I would have found them sooner because I would've seen them every year."

The Blue Angels can be seen flying just 18 inches from each other in diamond formation. And the jets can go up to 700 miles an hour.

Rick Oshea from Annapolis has seen this close to 20 times.

"It never gets old," he said. "It never gets old. It doesn't matter how many times you see them, still makes you feel good and proud."
