It's one of the largest wine festivals in the area and it's returning to Annapolis for the seventh year in a row.

The 2016 Annapolis Arts, Crafts & Wine Festival June 4-5 at the Navy Marine Corps Stadium starting at 10 a.m. both days.

"It’s one of the oldest and largest wine festivals in the east, its got over 25 Maryland wineries sharing unlimited samples of all of their wines," Jim Barthold, coordinator of the event, said.

Barthold explained that because of laws surrounding alcohol in the state, 25 is the maximum number of wine vendors allowed at a festival.

"They’re getting the most for their money that they can legally get at a wine festival," Barthold said of the Annapolis event.

In addition to wine tasting, more than 200 artists and vendors will be at the festival along with two jazz bands and child-friendly entertainment.

The event is designed for the whole family, even pets.

“We like our dogs or our muskrats or whatever your pet may be," Barthold said.

Because the event is at the stadium, there will also be plenty of parking available.

“It’s very convenient to get to, it’s right off route 50 in Annapolis and it’s got acres of parking,” he said. “Parking is one of the biggest headaches in Annapolis and that’s something that’s not unusual for a lot of cities."
