If you closed your eyes while they were playing, you'd think you were listening to Journey.

The two-year-old Anne Arundel County band is called Fast as Lightning. Their set list includes songs that came out when they were minus 40 years old. They can't drive and they have to be in bed by 9 p.m. on school nights, but they're striking a huge fan base.

The members met at the School of Rock in Annapolis. Katie Hall, Jacob Spitzer, Trystin Martin, Jack Peery and Jackson Anderson have played 63 concerns over their two years together.

Friday night, Fast as Lightning will play the Metro Gallery on North Charles Street. The group is under the direction of veteran Ben Grant, who's played 17 years at the Jazz Brunch on Sundays at Rams Head Live!
