Anne Arundel County Workforce Development Corp gets grant to provide training to veterans

Grant awarded to provide training to veterans

Anne Arundel Workforce Development Corporation (AAWDC) continues to help veterans transition to civilian jobs.
For the third year the organization received a grant from Veteran Pathways Out of Homelessness (VPOH).  This grant is part of the Department of Labor's Homeless Veterans' Reintegration Program.
"We were able to serve over 100 veterans in Anne Arundel County last year and we plan to increase that number this upcoming year." said Kirkland Murray, AAWDC's President and CEO.
AAWDC works with other area veteran resources to help with not just work.  The organizations work together for housing, utilities and much more.
If you know a veteran who is in need of help getting back to work contact AAWDC for assistance.
