GLEN BURNIE, Md. (WMAR) - Four people are in serious condition after being hit by a vehicle in Anne Arundel County.
Fire crews say two 16-year-old males, one 20-year-old male, and one 19-year-old female were hit by a car on Quarterfield Road at the entrance ramp of Route 100 eastbound.
All of the victims were taken to Shock Trauma. According to Lieutenant Doyle Batten, spokesperson for the Anne Arundel County Police Department, "at least two victims sustained life-threatening injuries as a result of the collision."
The person driving the car that struck the pedestrians remained on the scene, Batten said.
The incident happened around 5:30pm Thursday evening.
Police continue investigating this incident and have not released information about the vehicle or the events that may have contributed to the accident.
