15K grant to help provide students iPads

ANNAPOLIS, Md. - Manor View Elementary School recently got a big boost from Target Corporation: A $15,000 grant for its "Apps for Reading" program. In recognition of the efforts of Manor View in creating an iPad lab, the grant will be used to purchase an iPad cart and 30 iPads for student use.

"This lab comes to us as we are spreading our wings as a candidate school for the International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme. It will be key in making learning exciting and relevant, and will help us to connect with classrooms in other parts of the world," said Manor View Elementary School Principal Donna O'Shea. "Being on Fort Meade, we serve the children of military families and receive new students very often."

"At Target, we are committed to serving local communities where we do business," said
Laysha Ward, President of Community Relations at Target. "That's why we are proud to partner with Manor View Elementary School as we work to strengthen communities and enrich the lives of our guests and team members."
