SEVERNA PARK, Md. - A fourteen-year-old boy was hit by a car trying to cross Ritchie Highway Saturday night.
The boy was struck around 6:30 when he and several other young people on bicycles attempted to cross Ritchie Highway at Leelyn Drive against a red traffic signal.
The other juveniles in the group stopped when they saw a car coming but the 14-year-old tried to beat the oncoming car and was hit.
