GLEN BURNIE, Md. - Anne Arundel County Fire officials say one person is dead and another injured after an apparent chemical odor was coming from a Glen Burnie apartment building late Tuesday afternoon.
According to fire officials, at approximately 4 p.m. crews were dispatched to the 6600 block of Shelly Road for reports of chemical odor.
When emergency crews arrived, they found one person deceased, officials said.
Another person suffered serious but non-life threatening injuries and was transported to Harbor Hospital.
Fire officials say two other people who were in the building refused medical treatment.
The cause of the odor is currently under investigation.
