On Tuesday, Senator Ben Cardin (D-Md.) announced he will vote against President Donald Trump's Supreme Court nominee.
In a statement, Cardin said he met with Gorsuch and followed the hearings involving him.
"Combined with what I have found in his public writings, I am greatly troubled by Judge Gorsuch's record," the statement reads. "His extensive legal record is peppered with examples of putting corporate interests before working Americans, showing hostility to agency decisions that protect our environment, disregard women's health, marginalizing students with disabilities and many more troubling decisions."

Democrats in the Senate have threatened to filibuster a confirmation vote for Gorsuch. On Monday, they asked for and were granted a one week delay.
Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) said on Tuesday the Senate will hold a confirmation vote on Gorsuch next Friday.
