Lt. Gov. Anthony Brown to tout pre-K expansion in Maryland

BALTIMORE - Today Lt. Gov. Anthony Brown will visit a Baltimore County elementary school to highlight a statewide pre-k expansion.

At 10 a.m., Brown will join Baltimore County Executive Kevin Kamenetz and Superintendent Dallas Dance at Hernwood Elementary School in Randallstown.

Baltimore County received more than $720,000 in grants for education programs. During today's tour, Brown will hear how the grant is being used.

The state's pre-k expansion is the subject of Brown’s new ad campaign in his bid for governor. It highlights his push to make the program available to more children. The ad goes on to attack his opponent, Republican Larry Hogan.

It claims Hogan would put corporate tax rate reductions ahead of Maryland's children.
